Website Changes

iUKHost have some big plans for 2009 that will continue growth and stability. The changes have started already with out new website design. During the last few months of 2008 our site went under design testing which involved the implementation of many designs to see how well they worked.

We have chosen the design that the site is using now for the basis of its development. Now that we have a main structure we intend to radically update our content to make it much cleaner and easier to read while at the same time creating a professional image. These changes are not yet in place however will slowly be implemented in the coming weeks.

Hosting Plans

At the current time iUKHost are only offering linux shared web hosting. We are planning to expand so that we can offer reseller hosting packages as well as normal web hosting. At the present time we have not set a date for this to take place however we thought you might want to know what we will be up to.

This small update will hopefully satisfy your curiousity for now. Updates will be released as an when they happen.

What is VPS Hosting?

VPS or Virtual Private Server is a method used to partition a full server into many virtual ones. Each VPS has its own dedicated resources and can have an operating system installed. Every VPS has its own Disk Space, RAM, CPU and IP addresses with the ability to reboot each VPS independently. A VPS allows you to change the server settings such as security options where this is not available with shared hosting. You have SSH access to the VPS so you can install your own software. A control panel of your choice can be installed and web can provide installation for cPanel on Linux and Plesk on Windows.

All our servers are located in the UK at Blue Square Datacenter, Maidenhead.
